Description:
This hotfix upgrades the Tomcat libraries to version 5.5.34 and is applicable to TRA 5.7.0/5.7.1. You can download this HotFix from the TIBCO Product Support ftp server, support-ftp.tibco.com.  You will need to provide your eSupport username and password to access the server.  Once you have successfully logged into the server, go to
/available_downloads/ActiveEnterprise/TIBCORuntimeAgent/5.7.0/tomcatupg5534/ or
/available_downloads/ActiveEnterprise/TIBCORuntimeAgent/5.7.1/tomcatupg5534/  to download the fix.

Installation


All Platforms:

1. Shut down all running TIBCO applications.
2. Unzip the hotfix zip file to a  
    temporary directory. For example, c:\tibco\trahotfix.
3. Get the TIBCOUniversalInstaller version 2.8.0.043 from TIBCO Support
    FTP Server ftp://support-ftp.tibco.com and copy it into the
    directory where the hotfix is extracted.
4. Launch the TIBCOUniversalInstaller{.exe or bin} executable from this
    temporary directory and install the hotfix into the TIBCO_HOME directory
    of your base product.
5. The hotfix installer will back up TIBCO_HOME\tpcl\5.7\tomcat
    as TIBCO_HOME\tpcl\5.7\tomcat.5.5.30
6. Restart your TIBCO applications.

Uninstallation

Note that the TIBCOUniversalInstaller version 2.8.0.043 does not support
uninstallation of a hotfix. To remove a hotfix, you must manually delete the
readme file and the contents of the hotfix directory.

All Platforms:

1. Shutdown all running TIBCO applications.
2. Make sure the backed up directory TIBCO_HOME\tpcl\5.7\tomcat.5.5.30 exists.
3. Remove TIBCO_HOME\tpcl\5.7\tomcat directory.
4. Rename TIBCO_HOME\tpcl\5.7\tomcat.5.5.30 as TIBCO_HOME\tpcl\5.7\tomcat.
5. Remove the hotfix readme file from TIBCO_HOME\release_notes.
6. From your TIBCO_HOME\_installInfo directory, manually remove the file
    titled TRA-tomcatupg5534_5.7_prodInfo.xml.
7. Remove {TIBCO_HOME}\tra\5.7\hotfix\lib\TIBCOAppDeployment.jar.
8. Restart your TIBCO applications.
