TIBCO hereby announces its plans to retire TIBCO SmartSockets Product Family (formerly called RTworks) which includes the following products:

TIBCO SmartSockets® RTarchive
TIBCO SmartSockets® RTdaq
TIBCO SmartSockets® RThci
TIBCO SmartSockets® RTie
TIBCO SmartSockets® RTplayback
RTmonitor
RTsdb
RTserver
Messaging client libraries

Please note that this notice does not affect maintenance services for TIBCO SmartSockets®.

TIBCO will cease providing maintenance services for the above products on September 30, 2011.  Maintenance services for the above products will continue in full force and effect according to the terms of your agreement with TIBCO until September 30, 2011. As of October 1, 2011, your company’s maintenance services for the above products will terminate.

During the retirement phase, TIBCO Support will continue to service these products as explained in our Support and Maintenance agreement, with the exception that enhancements will no longer be made to the product.

We encourage you to contact your TIBCO Account Executive with any questions you may have about this notice and to find out about alternative support options or migration strategies, which may be available and applicable to you.

Please note that maintenance services for RTserver, when used as part of SmartSockets, are not affected by this notice.
Please note that maintenance services for the Messaging client libraries, when used as part of SmartSockets, are not affected by this notice.
