Resolution

WebFOCUS does not required the IP4 version. If IP4 is disabled, and your configuration uses a IP4 address instead of Host names, these settings will have to be changed to either a IP6 address, or Host name that resolves to an IP6 address. Check your WebFOCUS Client and WebFOCUS Server configurations foe which are used.

Configuration files which may have IP Addresses on the WebFOCUS Client are webfocus.cfg, install.cfg

Configuration files which may have IP Addresses on the WebFOCUS Server are edaserve.cfg, edasprof.prf (and other profiles), odin.cfg

Issue/Introduction

IPv4 and IPv6 are versions of the Internet Protocol (IP) that differ in address size, routing, and security. IPv6 is designed to replace IPv4, but the two are currently used together.

WebFOCUS uses the Internet Protocol (IP) on both the WebFOCUS Client and WebFOCUS Server.
