Description
- If we want Statistica to shut down after a fixed period of time then we can specify the duration in minutes and enable the option of "Auto-shutdown".
- There are two Auto shutdown options, one in the Statistica Client and the other in Enterprise Manager.
Resolution
Section 1: Auto- Shutdown using Statistica Client.
- To enable the option click on File>>Options>>General>>Enable Auto-shutdown

- For example, if we specify 20 minutes, Statistica will shut down in 20 minutes. Statistica client has a separate timer and auto-shutdown setting. This setting will force a client shutdown, along with Enterprise Manager, after the number of minutes configured only if there is no activity:
Section 2: Auto-shutdown using Enterprise Manager.
- If the Enterprise Manager application is opened directly or as a stand-alone app, the Auto Shutdown option will start a timer and shut down after the configured number of minutes, but only if there is no activity.

- When Enterprise Manager (EM) is opened through Statistica, the Auto Shutdown is never initialized hence Enterprise Manager won't check for timeout. This is as designed.
Issue/Introduction
When the Auto-shutdown feature is enabled, Statistica should shut down automatically after a set amount of time.
