TIBCO hereby announces that it will end support for the following product version(s), as of 11:59 pm Pacific Time on Mar 31, 2026:

TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks (BW) 5.16.0

NOTE: This policy has no impact on latest TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks (BW) 5.16.1 LTS Release version.

The purpose of this notification is to officially communicate this retirement and request that you upgrade to the latest TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks (BW) 5.16.1 LTS Release, as soon as possible. For details, please refer to the BW 5.16.1 Release Notes, we recommend our BW 5.x customers to upgrade to our new Long Term Support BW version 5.16.1, please review our TIBCO LTS policy. The highlights of 5.16.1 release and reason for all BusinessWorks 5.x customers to consider early upgrade

- This is an Long Term Support (LTS) release of BW5.
- Support for Oracle Java 17.x
- Support for OpenTelemetry Metrics through TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks 5 engine
- Support for OpenTelemetry Tracing through TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks 5 engine
- Support for SSL for TCP palette.

Check the TIBCO Product Download Site (https://www.tibco.com/downloads) for the most recent release when planning your upgrade.

Until the retirement date, Support will answer product questions, however product updates will not be provided. After the retirement date has been reached, new cases reported against the retired release(s) will no longer be accepted and existing cases under investigation will be closed.

Available hot fixes and knowledge base articles will continue to be available to all customers with product maintenance beyond the retirement date.
