Below is a list of checkboxes and their functions:
1. When Committing changes, prompt for and require a reason:
When this option is enabled, any changes made to an Enterprise object will require a reason for the modification.
2. When approving a version, prompt for and require an "electronic signature"
When this option is enabled, any changes made to an Enterprise object will require a login of the user along with the reason for the modification.
3. When approving a version, prompt for and require a reason:
When this option is enabled, any changes made to Enterprise objects will ask for a reason.
4. Enforce the use of latest approved versions:
This option "Enforce the use of latest approved versions" means, the latest approved version of objects are required when using them in another objects.
For example, with this option enabled, to create a new AC (Analysis Configuration) based on a DC (Data Configuration), that DC must be approved first. Otherwise, you can't associate it with an AC.
5. Prevent users from approving their own changes:
When this check box is checked, someone other than the user who made the changes must approve the changes.
6. Default to major version increment on approval.
When this option is checked, the user will only be able to approve the latest version. For example, if there are two versions of an object and the option 'Default to major version increment on approval' is enabled, only the latest version will be approved, not the previous one.
7. Default to major version increment on reversion.
When this option is checked, the user will only be able to approve the latest reverted version.
Versioning and approvals in Statistica help manage changes to Enterprise objects and ensure that only approved versions are used.
