When installing or uninstalling TIBCO® Managed File Transfer Platform Server for Windows versions or hotfixes, you might see the following error message:
Locked File List: (files currently in use by another process)
C:\tibco\MFT Platform Server\System\Fusionms.dll
Fusionms.dll contains a list of messages which are displayed in the
Event Viewer => Windows Logs => Application
All supported environments.
To resolve this error, perform the following steps:
Before you begin
If you see Fusionms.dll in the locked file list, stop the processes associated with Event Viewer.
Procedure
1. Close any open Event Viewer windows.

2. In Task Manager, search for the svchost.exe process with EventLog as a command line argument, and stop it.

3. After you stop the process, restart the installation or uninstallation to successfully complete it.
The EventLog service restarts.
4. Optional: Open the Event Viewer.
Note.
Starting with PSW 8.2.0, Fusionms.dll will be installed in the base release or service pack only. It will not be installed during a typical HF installation. It only will be installed during HF installation if there were any changes made to this .dll, which is extremely rare.
