Description

After upgrading to Spotfire Server 14.5, the Statistica Extension is not available though the Statistica Engine and Statistica Extension were installed in Spotfire Analyst. Why is this the case and how can it be change so the Statistica Extension is available in Spotfire Analyst.

How to change to the new licensing

Before making any changes to your licensing, note you must have updated your commercial license agreement to use the new licenses. Please see

1. Open a command prompt as administrator on the Spotfire Server (config.sh on Linux)

2. Change to the spotfire-bin directory (typical location on Windows is C:\spotfire\spotfireserver\14.5.0\tomcat\spotfire-bin)

3. Export the configuration by running this command: config export-config

4. Set the licensing product to the new version by running this command: config set-config-prop -n licenses.version -v 2

5. Import the configuration back to the Spotfire Server database by running this command: config import-config --comment=changelicensevalues configuration.xml

6. Restart the Spotfire Server service.

7. Now you should see the Spotfire Data Science license available. Go to the Spotfire Server>>Groups>>Statistica User Group (or any group which needs the Statistica Extension) and select the Spotfire Data Science as the license:
