Description

Hotfixes are cumulative. This hotfix includes all previous generally available
hotfixes for TIBCO Managed File Transfer Platform Server for Windows 8.0.1.

Environment

All supported environments.

Resolution

Hotfix TIB_mftps-win_8.0.1_HF-004 can be downloaded from TIBCO Support Portal (https://support.tibco.com).  
 
You will need to provide your TIBCO Support Portal credentials.  Once logged in you can download the hotfix by selecting the “Downloads” -> “Hotfixes” option. Then go to “/AvailableDownloads/MFT/ PlatformServer/Windows/8.0.1/hotfix-04” to download the hotfix.
 
The .zip file has the Readme file inside. Please unzip the file and review the Readme file for instructions on how to apply the hotfix.

PSW-1093
When a transfer encounters an exception, Log.txt records duplicate, which 
causes Command Center audit inquiry requests to generate the error: Failed to 
obtain a unique transfer status record.
 
PSW-1117
The ftmscmd.exe and ftmsmgr.exe processes occasionally remain visible in 
Task Manager after customers close the associated apps.
 
PSW-1135
When submitting a cfxfer request from Command Center using responder profiles, 
the user cannot sign in.
 
PSW-1170
Server Error: Queuing the responded transfer stops responding. The system cannot 
wait on the QMS Persistent File Mutex.
 
PSW-1190
Platform Server service went offline and minidumps being generated.
Internal locking is improved to reduce the chances of minidumps being created 
by Platform Server.
Note: This is a Known Issue. It is recommended to upgrade to Platform Server 
for Windows version 8.1.0 or higher with openssl version 3+.

Performance Improvement: Simplify the check point restart logic so the system 
does not parse the Active Queue to locate the request.
 
PSW-1202
Event messages related to transfers do not appear in Event Viewer on 
Windows Server 2025. Past transactions are not displayed.

PSW DNI does not maintain the directory structure on directory receive when 
scan subdirectories is turned on.

When a Platform Server client initiates a tunnel request and Platform Server for
Windows receives a TLS initialization error, the request fails, causing all 
subsequent incoming tunnel requests to hang.
 
PSW-1005
When sending notification emails to SMTP servers that do not accept LF 
delimiters, an exception may occur, preventing the email from being sent.
 
PSW-962
Transfers with CheckPoint=N should not be saved in the ftmssvr.qpf file.
 
PSW-953
When you delete an executing DNI template, minidumps may be generated.
 
PSW-950
When the SMTP server is unresponsive, transfers can hang when sending email 
notifications.

When uploading a large file(more than 30GB), the byte count incorrectly becomes 
negative or is inaccurate after 2GB of the file is transferred.

When sending a file that is exactly a multiple of 4GB (4,294,967,296 bytes), a

PSW-890
When Command Center initiates a Node, Profile or Transfer request to Platform 
Server and the login fails, an exception can occur when reporting the error 
message back to Command Center.
 
PSW-885
When a health check is detected, the Responder incorrectly creates an 
audit record.
 
PSW-884
Ems and emf parameters are added to ftmscmd to send emails on success and 
failure transfers.
 
PSW-880
Registry entries are added to allow DNI Scans and DNI Initiator transfers
to run under the Platform Server Service Account.
Note: Two Windows Registry entries need to be added to this Registry folder:  
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Proginet\CyberFusion Server
UseServiceAccountForDniSendScanDirectory
DWORD: 
: Set to 0 to execute DNI scans using the template Local Identification 
credentials (default value)
: Set to 1 to execute DNI scans using the Platform Server Service Account 
UseServiceAccountForDniSendTransferFiles
DWORD: 
: Set to 0 to execute DNI Send transfers using the template Local 
Identification credentials (default value).
: Set to 1 to execute DNI Send transfers using the Platform Server 
Service Account.
The Platform Server Service needs to be restarted after these 
registry entries are created or updated.  
 
PSW-879
The "DNI Initiation Directory" and "Template" parameters that initiate 
transfers are added to the audit log.txt file.

When a connection to Platform Server is started and terminated without any 
data received, an Event Log message is not created.
