Resolution

Steps to Resolve:

  1. Remove all java in System Path.

  2. Set JAVA_HOME to C:\Program Files\Spotfire\Statistica\java\jre, which is the java folder in Statistica installation directory.

    Open Environment Variables → Advanced → set a new System Variable, add the path
    (C:\Program Files\Spotfire\Statistica\java\jre) Click OK.

  3. After setting the environment variable, execute the Statistica data function again, and the error will no longer occur.


    NOTE: 

    Apart from the "Could not locate Java Virtual Machine" error, if the following error is encountered while executing the Statistica data function, please follow the same steps mentioned above to resolve it.
