Some TIBCO applications that use the Activation service "cache" the license file locally. The application will still reference this local cache file rather than an updated license file, causing "License Expired" messages.
For example, the TIBCO Enterprise Message Service products store the cache files in the datastore directory. The Foresight Instream product stores them in the Licenses directory in a subdirectory called .tibflx. The cache files names start with the name "storage-0*" or "anchoring-0*".
For these situations, stop the product, and delete the files referenced above, then restart the applications. The applications will then pick up the correct license file, and start correctly.
With the recent introduction of local Activation licenses, there are special consideration when updating these licenses when the original licenses expires. Some application may generate "License Expired" messages even after the license file is updated.
