Description
When trying to connect to a OSI PI database via a Statistica PI Event Frame Data workspace node or any other PI workspace node, the following error may occur:

The resolution is to set the level of authentication lower than "Disable explicit login" in the PI System Management Tools application (Security Settings). By default, explicit login is disabled:
