This announcement is to inform you of an important update to the TIBCO MDM release cycle and support model. Effective with version 11.1, TIBCO is transitioning to a new model featuring Long-Term Support (LTS) and Mainstream (MS) releases. This transition is a direct result of customer feedback and is designed to better accommodate their diverse operational requirements.

The two release tracks are defined as follows:

• Long-Term Support (LTS) releases are recommended for customers who prioritize a longer-term deployment without the need for frequent upgrades.
• Mainstream (MS) releases are intended for customers who wish to adopt new features and capabilities on a more frequent basis. Additionally, MS releases can be used to evaluate new functionality in development or staging environments, as these features will subsequently be incorporated into future LTS versions.

TIBCO MDM version 11.1.x has been designated as our inaugural LTS release.

Please be advised that all currently supported versions released prior to this change will continue to be supported in accordance with their original support policies.

• Version 11.1.x  is declared as the first LTS release and is supported until at least December, 2030

• Can Customers upgrade from one LTS to the subsequent LTS? 
• Yes. LTS versions can typically be upgraded from one LTS version to the next LTS version. Note: It is also typically supported to upgrade the latest LTS version to any subsequent Mainstream version
• For Mainstream releases, customers can upgrade sequentially from one version to the next

• Is extended Support available for LTS or Mainstream releases? 
• Extended support for LTS releases may be available through TIBCO's Extended Maintenance Program, which can be discussed with the TIBCO Accounts team
• Extended Support is not offered for Mainstream releases.
