be part of the BusinessWorks installation. The application configuration file
will instead reference it from the TPCL based OpenTelemetry JARs .

BW-22061
Implemented automatic SSL certificate rotation for HTTPS/HTTP Receivers in 
BusinessWorks  5, allowing certificates to be rotated on disk without 
requiring an engine restart.

A new property java.property.bw.plugin.http.ssl.reload.pollMinutes
has been introduced to configure the polling interval.
The default value is 5 minutes.

BW-21808
Previously, the system updated the license state only at scheduled intervals.
Now, when a license file is changed, it is revalidated immediately and 
the license state is polled every minute so if there's a file change 
detected, it will poll and print the new license file activation details
in the next minute itself.

BW-21759
Implemented an optional fail-fast mechanism for Tomcat initialization failures, 
allowing a service instance to terminate on startup when configured, 
while preserving the existing default behavior (service continues 
to start and run despite Tomcat initialization errors).

To avail this fix, set the 
java.property.bw.engine.starter.shutdownOnTomcatInitError property to true.
The default value is false.

Prior to BusinessWorks 5.16.1 HF006, the default license folder was created
under BW_HOME/license. Starting with BusinessWorks 5.16.1 HF006 and later,

The user was encountering an exception when enabling Otel traces in an 
application where the service implementation process included call processes. 
This issue has now been fixed.

BW-22222
The customer is facing an issue while parsing an empty string [""] in the 
ParseData activity. When they use the Parse Data palette and pass an empty
string represented by two double quotes ("") as input, the output is displayed 
as a single double quote ("). This issue has now been fixed.

BW-22153
BusinessWorks  does not perform certificate revocation checks on the server
side when the server type is Tomcat. This issue has now been fixed.

BW-22004
The jackson-core jar along with jackson-annotations and jackson-databind
upgraded to version 2.21 in this release. 

BW-21970
Activity thread usage and blocking behavior in BusinessWorks 5.x are now 
documented on the "Activities and Process Engine Threads" page in the

A parameter of type TEXT was not shown when a Sybase stored procedure
was retrieved in the JDBC Called Procedure activity. 
This issue has now been fixed.

When a '+' character is present in the request URL path, the Send HTTP
Request activity replaces it with a whitespace character and URL encodes
the whitespace before sending the request. This issue has now been fixed. 
This is a property based fix.

To avail this fix, set the 
java.property.bw.plugin.http.client.disablePlusEncodingInPath property 
to false.

BW-21849
When a SOAP request containing two <Body> elements was sent from a client,
the SOAP Event Source activity (with security policy association enabled) 
processed the first <Body> element. This issue has now been fixed.
