Description
Statistica Web Data Entry provides an easy way to import sample data with variable fields. Why is this necessary? Some samples may have several pieces whereas another sample may only have one piece. By marking the beginning of samples in a Statistica spreadsheet, sample data, which can vary or have a different number of pieces, can be imported correctly.
Data Entry Setups which have piece labels have at least one piece label field, like below:

Thus samples can vary in size.

The Import Data functionality uses Marked Points to mark the beginning of a samples, which allows for samples of different sizesto be imported. For example, the following two samples below have row 1 and row 3 as marked. There delimits where the samples begin and end. The first sample has two piece labels whereas the second sample has three piece labels:
Here is a simple example.
1. To mark point, right-click on the row which marks the beginning of the sample and select Mark Points. Save the spreadsheet:
2. Go to Import Data, choose the data entry setup and the file to upload. Then select Auto Match:
3. Select the Import Data button to import the samples:
4. Import is successful with the result details displayed at the bottom of the page. If import fails, the reason is also provided at the bottom of the page. Below, we see the three new samples have been imported successfully:
