Windows Defender may block the installation of Statistica with the following message:
Windows Security
Part of this app has been blocked
Some features of Windows host process (Rundll32)
may not work because we can't confirm who
published CustomActions Project.dll that the app tried
to load.
OS: Windows
The solution is to temporarily disable Defender Smart App Control and then turning it back on after installation.
Click the Start menu and type Windows Security.
Select Windows Security from the results (or click the blue shield icon in the taskbar tray).
In Windows Security, click App & browser control from the left-hand navigation menu or main dashboard:
2. Click the Smart App Control settings link near the top of the page.

Under Smart App Control, select the Off radio button.
Confirm the User Account Control (UAC) prompt if requested.
Proceed with installing or launching your application.
Verify that blocked components (e.g., custom .dll files or unsigned installers) load without security popups.
Return to Windows Security > App & browser control > Smart App Control settings.
Switch the option back to On (or Evaluation if preferred).
If Smart App Control is greyed out or unavailable on the user's PC, you may only need to temporarily toggle Reputation-based protection:
Go to App & browser control > Reputation-based protection settings.
Temporarily turn off Check apps and files or Block potentially unwanted apps.
Perform the installation, then switch the toggles back On.
