Description
The Statistica 14. x installer creates a long list of shortcuts in the New context menu of Windows. With the four times repeated positions for Statistica Macros. this can be confusing. These shortcuts can be reduced and only the most used for Statistica are kept.

The files are duplicates in name only, and not by file extension. You can remove these shortcuts by editing the Registry.
To remove duplicate shortcuts for different file extensions from the Windows Registry, carefully navigate to the file extension keys under
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and delete the duplicate entries in Shell, OpenWithList, and OpenWithProgids. Always back up the registry before making any changes, and restart your computer afterward to apply the changes. Go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, then go down to each file type you want to delete key "ShellNew":
- Macro: .svc, .svo, .svx
- Spreadsheet: .smx
We can see that the Statistica Macro shortcut numbers have been reduced :
