While installing the Statistica application, the wizard may end prematurely with this message "Statistica Setup Wizard ended prematurely":


If both of the following are true:

1. When running Statistica.exe, either as Administrator or a non-admin user, the install wizard ends after entering all the  database connection details and clicking the Next button

2. In Installer log shows the error "EstablishEnterpriseConnection64_dlg failed", as below:

Then proceed to to follow the steps in the resolution section below.

Steps to Resolve:

1. Create a new database on the SQL server (or the equivalent with Oracle), and then use the credentials you've already created on the SQL Server (Oracle )when installing the Statistica application:



2. Run Statistica.exe and proceed through the install wizard.  Click on the  " Create a New Enterprise Database (requires empty database)" pop-up while installing the Statistica application.



3.  Finish the installation

Now the error has been eliminated to successfully install the Statistica application.

4.  Proceed to create a new DSN to point to the existing database, if one hasn't been created already.

5.  When launching Statistica, select the existing DSN and click OK.
