When all AMX nodes have been removed from a remote TIBCO host instance, and the host instance is in Running state, simple 'Unregister' on the host instance from AMX Admin Server does not work and fails with error 'TIBCO-AMX-ADMIN-021221: No TIBCO Host instance running in the machine named '<remote_host_name>'

Resolution

a) Provide "Force Delete" enterprise permission to the root user.
b) Use the "Force Unregister" option
c) Once it is removed we can then stop the Host on the machine and remove the files associated with the Host.
