Description

Are there any restrictions on passwords used for login, such as prohibited characters?

Resolution

We do allow special characters in passwords for internal WebFOCUS user accounts, but if someone is using different authentication method i.e. if any user account is configured with LDAP, the restriction would be from that specific provider.

The only restriction here is that you cannot use any of the following characters in an IBFS path: (this rule does not specify LDAP but can be applied)
(Blank Space) & * ( ) | : ; " , ?
