How to apply restriction on some of the rows inside the master file ?

Description
USE case : Lets take an example of car master file data .
Now looking at the data, suppose Japan's DATSUN Car is going to be retired and the customer don't want any of their users to see the data of Japan's DATSUN Car when using the CAR field in any report.
So below are the instructions to achieve the above scenario :

This article covers instructions on how to apply a restriction on some of the rows inside the master file (only applicable if applied for all the users)
Environment
Windows and Linux
Resolution
1) Go to the Application Directory where the car master file is situated . 2) Right click on car master file and select "Open" 3) Right click on CAR > Select "New filter" > Simple 4) Now select all the checkbox except DATSUN. 5) Click Ok 6) Now right click on the filter which got created newly and select "Properties" . 7) Change the title to anything, expand Miscellaneous , and select "Mandatory" to "Yes" . 8.) Select Apply and save it from top left side .
9.) Now if you see the sample data of the car master file, you won't be able to see any record of DATSUN car.
