Description

A value for a GlobalVariable (GV) can be set in:
  • Studio project - default value
  • CDD file with prefix tibco.clientVar.<GV-url>
  • TRA file with prefix tibco.clientVar.<GV-url>
  • In a properties file when start the agent with parameter "-p <propFileName> with prefix tibco.clientVar.<GV-url>

Resolution

The GV value loaded in below order when configured:
  1. Properties file 
  2. TRA file 
  3. CDD file
  4. Default value set in Studio

Note:
In a TEA server environment, a separate properties file is created for each profile. This means that the GV values loaded from properties file when a profile selected for the deployment and not from the settings at instance level.
