Description

Does the iProcess Engine have a dependency on TLS versions?

Issue/Introduction

Dependency with iProcess if you are planning to disable TLS versions (V1.0 and v1.1) and upgrade to version 1.2

Environment

TIBCO iProcess Engine (All supported environments)

Resolution

- The iProcess Engine does not directly utilize TLS for its inter-process communication.
- The iProcess Technology Plug-ins can utilize SSL/TLS protocols supported by the version of the EMS server in use.  iProcess uses the EMS client jar files and therefore the version of SSL/TLS is dependent on the EMS software and version (please check with EMS support to see what version is supported by your particular version).
- SSL/TLS may be enforced for communication with the database. This is handled by the database driver.  If there are compatibility questions with the SQL database driver, please check with Microsoft.  For an Oracle database (OCI and JDBC) - this is configured in the Oracle client and the Oracle JDBC Driver (please check with Oracle on the version of TLS support with your Oracle client and database).
