Issue/Introduction

Users encountering the issue of being unable to create folders under other user resources in the Private Resources management of WebFOCUS. The error message of folder creation refused is displayed when attempting to create a folder.

Resolution

To resolve the issue, it is important to understand the following points:

  1. Users can create folders under their own user folder in Private Resources.
  2. For example, if the user is "admin," they can create folders under the "admin" user's private resources.
  3. However, users cannot create folders under other users' private resources.
  4. It is not possible for a user, such as "xyz," to create folders under the "admin" user's private resources.
  5. Additionally, a user "xyz" in the Administrators group cannot create folders under the "admin" user's private resources.

To create folders in the appropriate user's private resources, ensure that you are signed in as the correct user and select the respective user's private resources.

By following these guidelines, users will be able to create folders within their own private resources while respecting the restrictions imposed for other users' private resources.
