BW doesn't use the default JRE trust store (TIB_JAVA_HOME/lib/security/cacerts) in case of activities where TLS is handled by BW. The trusted certificates must be stored in a folder within the project or an external location pointed to by the global variable BW_GLOBAL_TRUSTED_CA_STORE. Some of the activities where TLS is handled by BW are Send HTTP Activity, SOAP Request Reply.

In case of an activity where TLS is handled by a third-party library, certificates stored in the default JRE trust store or certificates stored in a trust store pointed to by the Java system property javax.net.ssl.trustStore may be used. For example, JDBC activities connecting to Oracle DB server over TCPS in which case TLS is handled by the driver. Another example is, JMS activities connecting to IBM WebSphere MQ over TLS in which case TLS is handled by IBM WebSphere MQ client library. In such cases, the trusted certificates stored in the project or an external location pointed to by the global variable BW_GLOBAL_TRUSTED_CA_STORE are not used.
