Updated On:

Products Versions
Spotfire Server 11.8.1 and higher

Description

You may notice that N/A (Externally managed) is assigned as the deployment area text with few missing UI controls such as :

  • Upgrade/Rollback
  • Restart / Stop / Start etc
  • Install / Delete service
  • Add/Remove instance
  • Edit / Rename

Resolution

This is by design that we introduced a flag or indication that a Node Manager is "N/A (Externally managed)", a.k.a running in a container by another orchestrator (e.g Kubernetes).

Also, to avoid confusions/weird UI states certain functionalities in the UI are also hidden/disabled only with the external orchestration system (e.g kubernetes)

Issue/Introduction

To avoid weird UI states or UI actions that interfere with the external orchestration system (e.g kubernetes) some of the UI actions are disabled or hidden.
