Description

After an installation or upgrade of TIBCO Spotfire, the Web Player or Automation Services instances may fail to start and in the service-<guid>-stdout.log in the Node Manager log folder, the following error will be seen

ERROR ...process state switched to failure with exit value -2146232576

Resolution

Starting with version 11.5.0, TIBCO Spotfire Web Player and TIBCO Spotfire Automation Services both require Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 or later.

To resolve, please make sure that you have Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 or later installed on the Node Manager server that hosts the service. For reference, see the system requirements for the Web Player and Automation Services here.
