Opening a file with linked data in TIBCO Spotfire shows several 'Loading embedded data' messages that slow down the opening of the file.

When opening a file that uses linked data and you use calculated columns you may see something similar to this in the Open file dialogue after clicking 'Show Details':

Even though you have saved the file using linked data you see 'Loading embedded data.' when opening the file
Symptoms:
Files with linked data may open slower than normal and you see multiple 'Loading embedded data.' messages in the File open dialogue.
Cause:
Data that is loaded into the analysis when saving will automatically be embedded in the file if you have calculated columns, even though you choose to use linked data.
Resolution
1. Go to Tools menu->Administration Manager->Preferences
2. Select the group you want to apply this for and chose Application->Persistence and set CacheCalculatedColumnsDefaultBehavior to 'False'.
Note: Only Spotfire Administrators (i.e. users with both the TIBCO Spotfire Administrator license and membership in the Administrator group) can do this.
