How to pull data into TIBCO Statistica from TIBCO Data Virtualization (TDV) published view via Microsoft OLEDB for ODBC driver?

Prerequisites
1. TIBCO Data Virtualization Drivers downloaded from edelivery.tibco.com
2. TIBCO Statistica installation
3. TIBCO Data Virtualization Server installed with a published view

How to pull data into TIBCO Statistica from TIBCO Data Virtualization published view?

1. Unzip the TIB_tdv_drivers_[version].xip and install the ODBC driver by running the ODBCInstall_exe: [Unzipped Folder Path]\apps\odbc\win64\

2. Launch ODBC Data Sources (64-bit) and click on System DSN tab. Click Add and choose the TIBCO Data Virtualization 8.x driver and Finish



3.  Name the DSN and enter credentials to connect to the TDV Server. Optionally Test the connection to ensure the connection works.



4. Launch TIBCO Statistica / Statistica Enterprise Manager. Right click and create a database connection and choose Microsoft OLEDB Provider for ODBC provider to connect to the DSN created in Step 3.


5. Name the database connection, set access permissions and save the changes by clicking on Commit on the top left corner of Statistica Enterprise manager.



6. Create a New Data configuration under the system view and pick the database connection created in the previous step and define a query as shown below:



7. Name the data configuration, define Access Permissions for the data configuration, enter versioning information as required and save the changes by clicking on commit on the top left hand corner of Statistica Enterprise Manager.



8. Explore the data configuration to view the data from published view in TIBCO data Virtualization in Statistica .



The data can further be used in analyses, consumed in Statistica workspaces with the Enterprise Data Configuration node.
