This article describes how to capture the memory usage for a particular service over a period of time using a Performance monitor.
Note: MASMonitorService process For Process/Private Bytes for MASMonitorService process
Windows Only
To collect the logs follow the below steps:
1. Open Performance Monitor using Windows Start and Click on Performance Monitor tab.
2. Click on the '+' icon to add a counter for Process.
3. Select the required counters and Click 'Add>>'.
Note: To add counter for MASMonitorService process, go to add counter tab then to Process>>Private Bytes and search for MAS.
4. Remove the default counter added by Performance Monitor, i.e. %Processor Time
5. Right-click the newly added counter and choose "scale selected counters" to see the graph.
6. Right-click Monitoring Tools/Performance Monitor and choose New, Data Collector Set
7. Follow the steps to give Data Collector Set a name and a folder to save the logs.
8. Choose the option to "start this data collector set now" and finish.
Note: The capturing can also be started from the data collector set if missed the above step
9. Now the collector set shows up under Data Collector Sets >> User Defined.
Note:
The capturing can start and stop it from here.
Performance Monitor can be exited at this point and data collection will continue.
10. After starting to collect try replicating the issue then stop the collector.
11. The logs would be saved on the location mentioned under Data Collector Sets >> User Defined >> {Data set name} >> Output.
The above logs can be sent while raising a case on https://support.tibco.com for investigation of the issue faced.
