The TIBCO Scribe Online Connector for Salesforce does not support Salesforce Shield Platform Encryption. 

When encryption is enabled, data is able to be read and written to by the connector. Fields that are encrypted do not present themselves for filtering in the TIBCO Scribe Online user interface. If there are pre-existing solutions that utilize filtering on fields that will be encrypted, the customer will have to update their maps to remove the filters to avoid any errors.

Best practice is to follow the Salesforce recommendations noted in the Salesforce Shield Platform Encryption Implementation Guide, “Set Up Your Encryption Policy” section

Note: Salesforce recommends testing Shield Platform Encryption in a sandbox org to confirm that your reports, dashboards, processes, and other operations work correctly.
