Description

The error "The database file is larger than the configured maximum database size" occurs within the TIBCO Cloud Integration - Connect agent logs when the Scribe.sdf file size has grown to reach its maximum limit of 4 GB on the agent.

The Scribe.sdf file is the database that accompanies the TCI Connect Agent. The maximum data storage for the Scribe.sdf database is 4.0 GB. For On-Premise Agents, this file is stored where the Agent is installed under:

..\Program Files\Scribe Software\Scribe Online Agent

or

.. \Program Files (x86)\Scribe Software\Scribe Online Agent

Information stored in the Scribe.sdf file:

  • GUID keys for objects such as apps or flows
  • Last run dates for apps
  • Execution history before it is synced up to the cloud
  • Source data for row failures if the option store source data on the agent is enabled.

Below are the reasons why the Scribe.sdf file may reach its maximum size of 4GB.

  • Environmental network related issues are causing a slowdown with syncing and offloading records from the Scribe.sdf file to the TIBCO Cloud Integration - Connect cloud database.
  • An integration process receives many row errors during a single run, causing the Scribe.sdf file to grow in size before it can sync and offload all of the failed record information and data with the TIBCO Cloud Integration - Connect cloud database.

Issue/Introduction

Causes for "The database file is larger than the configured maximum database size" error in agent logs and SDF file reaching maximum size of 4GB.
