Description:
TIBCO BusinessWorks (BW) 6.x upload ear using Internet Explorer 10.x , the application name prepends the path where it is uploaded from in TIBCO Enterprise Administrator (TEA) UI.
Example:
1). You have a sample TIBCO Businessworks (BW 6.x) app name = BWTestCase.ear located in C:\BWApplicationFolder
2). When you upload the ear file using Internet Explorer 10.x, you will see ear filename prepends the file path C:\BWApplicationFolder\BWTestCase.ear
This issue is encountered only with the Internet Explorer browser.
Symptoms:
BW application filename prepends File path , once the file is uploaded to BW 6 Domain you cannot delete the files.
Cause:
This is not a TIBCO product issue rather, Incorrect Internet Explorer Settings.
Resolution
Make following changes in the Internet Explorer browser settings.
- Goto Tools --- > Internet Options Security tab.
- In "Internet" or "Intranet" click on Custom Level.
- In the Security Settings scroll down until you see “Include local directory path when uploading files to a server” and disable it. See attached image (Filename: IE-Options.png).
- Click OK on Internet Options window and refresh.
- Close IE and Restart.
- Now try login to TEA UI.
- Upload EAR and check.
NOTE: This issue is not observed with the latest GA version BW 6.7.0 and TEA 2.4.0
