Description

1. Statistica 14 Enterprise Manager Audit log has changed from previous versions. How has it changed?
2. Is Statistica Document Management Server (SDMS) needed for versioning and approvals?

Issue/Introduction

In order to make Versioning and logging more efficient, Audit log and versioning are now included with Statistica 14 (without requiring a separate installation) and the option to turn off logging and versioning has been disabled in Statistica version 14.

Environment

Windows operating systems only.

Resolution

From our governing documentation, officially approved by TIBCO Product Management:

1. Audit logging is now unconditional and always performed for all types of events (cannot be turned off). This applies to upgraded installations as well, irrespective of their previous Audit Log logging settings.

2. The Statistica Document Management Server (SDMS) is no longer a component of Statistica 14.0.0. All functionality for versioning and approving of artifacts in the Statistica Server products (Statistica Enterprise installs) is now handled directly by the main Statistica Server and through the Enterprise Database.
