The user could encounter the error ("appcmd is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet") while running install.bat in the hotfix. This issue is because of not having an appcmd.exe in path   %systemroot%\system32\inetsrv\ 


 

Here are the steps to resolve the issue :

Step 1:  Open Turn Windows features on or off.

Step 2:  Enable IIS Management Scripts and Tools under “Internet Information Services” => “Web Management Tools”.

Step 3:  We will see the appcmd.exe in C:\Windows\System32\inetsrv folder then.

Step 4:  Add C:\Windows\System32\inetsrv to PATH system environment variable.
