Description
FLEXlm, (sometimes referred to as FlexNet on the web, see reference at the bottom of this knowledge base artilce) is a 3rd party tool used for Statistica license management. FLEXlm is the named used for Statistica. It is used for CNET and Server/Enterprise installations only. FLEXlm is a 32-bit application and uses the Statistica License Manager service, the vendor daemon (sta_flxm.exe) and the .dll for the vendor daemon (STA-FLM.dll). For more details, please see the enduser.pdf in the FLEXlm folder (typical location is <server drive>:\Program Files (x86)\Statistica\FLEXlm\).

Resolution
FLEXlm is a software license manager from Revenera, which is used to manage Statistica licensing.
In Statistica, FLEXlm is used as a pool of floating licenses and these licenses may be allocated dynamically to machines, with a license being checked-out when a user begins using Statistica on any given machine and checked-in when the user finishes using Statistica.
