Sending events to the OpenSpirit 3D Viewer

Resolution

  • Launch the OpenSpirit desktop from the PC (the viewers are INT products and do not work on Linux)
  • Launch the Data Selector and connect to a project
  • Go to Tools --> DataBrowser --> 3D Viewer or click on the icon:

  • When the Coordinate System Selector comes up, click on "Select from Data Source...", select the same project as you selected in the OpenSpirit Data Selector

  • Answer "Yes" to the "Do you want to use the units from the coordinate system?"; then click on "OK"

  • When the 3D Viewer comes up, select how to display either “Time” or “Depth” (if you make the wrong selection data will not be transferred, e.g. seismic will not display in Depth)

  • After making a selection, you will see the lightning bolt across the OpenSpirit logo icon which indicates that the 3D Viewer is now in listening mode.

  • You can now select data to broadcast to the viewer using the broadcast icon

  • After the data is broadcast, you can double click on the image and you should see properties:
