Description
A new systemd feature was introduced in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.2: cleanup of all allocated inter-process communication (IPC) resources with the last session a user finishes. This behavior can cause daemons running under the same user, and using the same resources, to terminate unexpectedly section: Daemons using IPC terminate unexpectedly after update to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.2 in below link https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_enterprise_linux/7/html/7.2_release_notes/known-issues-installation_and_booting
**Are there any recommendations around whether parameter RemoveIPC should have value as "RemoveIPC=no" in case of EMS?
Issue/Introduction
Recommendation about RemoveIPC parameter in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.2
Resolution
EMS doesn't support IPC . But for a safer side we would suggest you to make RemoveIPC=no, as it would not cause any issue to you.
=>It has been suggested in many articles that expected value of this parameter 'RemoveIPC=no' in order to avoid failing of database installation or crashing database services. To work around this problem, edit the file /etc/systemd/logind.conf and add the following line: RemoveIPC=no Then, execute the following command, so that the change is put into effect: systemctl restart systemd-logind.service
