Metric links not visible in Tibco Nimbus Web Client

Environment

Production and test enviroment

Resolution

--> "It is not possible to view this attachment in the Web Server" is an expected message, because we are just using data from Excel and excel sheet used for the metric links can not open in Webclient.

--> Check if the option to allow excel based metric links is checked.
Go to Administration --> System Options --> Links
1)Try to reset browser settings such as clearing cache.
2)Check if Office integration server is running.

--> Check if the office integration server is running.
Office integration server has two modes that is Desktop and Service Mode.
        1) Using Desktop mode you can see the Metric links but only before next machine restart.
-- To start desktop mode, Go to All Programs --> Navigate to Tibco Nimbus Installation folder --> click on the button "Start request processing".
        2) Using Service mode is an permanent solution to see metric links in web. Follow below steps to setup the same.
-- To setup the service mode, Worker Process Credentials need to be setup.
-- This is defined in the OIS Desktop Mode, from the File menu choose Configuration
Open Office Integration server in Desktop mode.
-- The worker process account requires the following,
       A) DCOM rights to launch Excel; it must also have previously run Excel and the Visual Basic Editor on the local machine.
      B) Log on as a service rights:-
This is usually granted when the account is specified in the properties for a service. If the account has never been used on the PC as a service account, it will need to be added by either, temporarily setting the account as the account for the Office Integration Server service, so that Windows automatically grants this right or adding the account to the Log on as a service list using the Local Security Settings policy editor.
-- After adding account and restarting service, Check if metrics are visible in web or not.
