Connecting to Business Central Using the TIBCO Scribe® Online Connector For Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central / NAV

Description

1. Log into Business Central and navigate to the Web services page

2. Once In the Business Central Web Services you will need to get the OData URL by first selecting "Open in Excel" and downloading the spreadsheet of the web services so the OData URL can be copied.

3. Once downloaded open the sheet in excel and copy either the OData v4 or OData URL (depending on what is allowed) up until the ODataV4/ or ODataV3/ from one of the objects and save this in a text editor.

4. Navigate to the user that you would like the TIBCO Scribe Online connection to use and ensure that they have adequate permissions to access the OData objects, then copy their username and Web Service Access Key (If they do not have a web service access key one will need to be created) and paste this in a text editor.

5. Lastly, obtain the company name of your Business Central environment and paste this in a text editor.

6. Once you obtain the above information create the connection in Scribe Online, Note that instead of the Password for the user account you will enter the Web service Access Key in this area.
