Description
A computer has either 64-bit or 32-bit memory address bus, named System type in the Windows System information. Statistica 64-bit cannot be installed on a 32-bit machine. Statistica 32-bit can be installed on a 64-bit machine but Statistica 64-bit will have better performance as it utilizes the must larger memory bus. It is recommended to install Statistica 64-bit on 64-bit machines.
Cause: Statistica 64-bit cannot be installed on a 32 bit machine. 32 bit Statistica can be installed on a 64 bit machine, if desired. Only Statistica 32-bit can be installed on a 32-bit machine.

To check the system type of a computer, inspect the System Information screen. To get here, click on Start, then right-click on 'My Computer', and then click on 'Properties.' Below is a 64-bit machine:
A 32-bit machine will show '32-bit Operating System' next to "System Type".
