This article gives an example of how to use the subset node in a workspace based on the Statistica example data Adstudy.sta.

1. When Statistica is open, click File|Open Examples|Datasets to open Adstudy.sta.

2. Once the data is open, click Home| Add to Workspace to add the data into a new workspace.

3. In the new workspace, click Data|Subset (or search the subset node through "Feature Finder") to insert the "Subset" node.

4. Connect the input data node with subset node.

5. Click "Edit Parameters" (the wheel icon) of the Subset node to configure the node.

6. Under the Subset configuration dialog, click "Subset Variables" to select variables 1-5 and click "OK". This selection is to define variables to be displayed.

7. Under the session of "Include Cases", select "Specific, selected by:" and enter " Gender="Female" and Measure01 < 6 " in the Expression box. And then click "OK". By specifying this inclusion criteria, a subset data including female subjects with Measure01 score less than 6 will be created.

8. Click "Run to Node" (the green arrow icon) to run the subset node, a final subset data will be created as below:
