Description

Workstation/Clients are unable to login to the server through Statistica.  The Server tab shows the login is enabled but users are not able to login.  How can this be fixed?

Cause: Users are not a member of the SWS_USER group on the server (Local Users and Groups) and/or they are not a member of the WUSR in Enterprise Manager. 

Environment

Windows operating systems only.

Resolution

ADDING USER TO SWS_USER GROUP

Add the user to both the SWS_USER group by following these steps:

1.  Open the Server Manager console.

2.  Open the ConfigurationsLocal Users and Groups | Groups:

SWS_USER group under Local Users and Groups

3.  Double-click SWS_USER, click the Add button:

4.  Select the location, add the user or users, and click the OK button:

ADDING WUSER PERMISSIONS TO ENTERPRISE USER

1.  Open Enterprise Manager (Start | All Programs | Statistica | Enterprise Manager)

2.  Check the Web User (WUSR) box for the user or for the group (preferred) where the user is a member and click Commit at the top left:
