Description

This article answers the question of what happens to all your Statistica application customized settings if you uninstall and re-install of Statistica.

Cause
Sometimes a uninstall and re-install of Statistica is necessary for various reasons.

Resolution
The StatOpts.xml file stores all the various user interface styles, graphics, and additional settings changed by the user.  After re-installing and launching Statistica, a dialog will open allowing the import of the previous initialization file (which is information in the StatOpts.xml):

Please select the select the configuration setting and then click the "Import" button.  

Related note
Customized spreadsheet formulas are saved in the Statistica spreadsheets themselves. As long as the specific spreadsheets are saved then the formulas are saved as well.
