This article provides an alternative workaround to do row operations and calculations in Statistica. 

Statistica supports column operations and calculations in spreadsheets. 

To do Row operations/calculations in Statistica, for example, in below table, calculate Row2/Row1 and store the calculated values in a new Row,

1. Go to Statistica "Data | Transpose | Transpose File", rows will become column variables. 

2. Create a new column variable, in the long name text box, enter the calculation formula, e.g. =V2/V1

3. Click OK. The new column variable is then calculated.

4. Go to "Data | Transpose | Transpose File", the table is restored with newly calculated row.
