Description
Error: Verify that the connection URL is correct and that you can connect to the same URL from the system running the Scribe Online Agent. The following exception message was returned: ID3242: The security token could not be authenticated or authorized. Exception type: System.ServiceModel.FaultException Fault Information Fault Code: System.ServiceModel.FaultCode Fault Message: ID3242: The security token could not be authenticated or authorized. Fault Action: http://www.w3.org/2005/08/addressing/soap/fault Fault Reason: ID3242: The security token could not be authenticated or authorized.
Resolution
The error message indicates an authentication issue. One of the following scenarios could be the cause:
If you have an on-premises version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM installed, it may require a new certificate on the server.
If you are using an Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) Server to authenticate and the configuration has been modified, Microsoft Dynamics CRM may not be able to authenticate.
Verify that permissions for your user account are correct and have not been modified.
Attempting to connect with Claims Based Authentication on an internet facing deployment of Microsoft Dynamics CRM may cause issues. Contact Microsoft for assistance.
Verify that the logged in user is part of the administrators in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM deployment manager.
