Description

While upgrading from TIBCO Spotfire server 10.3 to TIBCO Spotfire server 10.10, the following error can be seen.

DEBUG 2020-09-22T20:28:06,423 tools.upgrade.UpgradeUtilities: Incompatible JDBC driver found: ojdbc7.jar
DEBUG 2020-09-22T20:28:06,423 tools.upgrade.UpgradeUtilities: Added user issue for file ojdbc7.jar

This error shows incompatibility of Oracle ojdbc7.jar file with TIBCO Spotfire Server 10.10.0 version. 

 

Resolution

After upgrade, replace ojdbc7.jar with ojdbc10.jar in <TIBCO Spotfire Server installation directory/10.10.x/tomcat/custom-ext> folder to resolve the issue.

Issue/Introduction

Error: Found incompatible JDBC drivers in /10.3.x/tomcat/custom-ext, during TIBCO Spotfire Server upgrade can be seen in upgrade logs which can be solved by using relevant jar files
