TIBCO Scribe Insight | - |
If you receive an error similar to the one shown below, it indicates that you may have more users associated with either a CRM or an ERP system than your TIBCO Scribe® Insight license allows.
Fatal Error: Execution terminated - There are too many CRM/ERP users for the current Scribe license. The grace period has expired for one or more adapters. Insight will not run until you upgrade your license. Contact your Scribe Reseller or Scribe Sales Representative.
Check your user counts in TIBCO Scribe® Insight to determine if you have exceeded your licensed number of users.
The Insight Adapter User Counts window shows an entry for each unique connection along with the associated users for that connection. If you have more than one connection of the same type, either CRM or ERP, the User Count also includes an entry that is the SUM of all users in that type. For example, if you have connections to two different Dynamics CRM systems, each system is represented separately, along with a total of all users across both Dynamics CRM systems. If you have connections to Dynamics AX and Dynamics GP, those are considered ERP types and are both included in the Total ERP User Count.
NOTE: Most TIBCO Scribe Insight Adapters count the number of users in your CRM/ERP application as a way of licensing the Adapter. The Adapters are set to allow the maximum number of users permitted by your TIBCO Scribe® Insight license. Contact your partner or TIBCO account executive for more information about user count licensing.
How The Adapter For Dynamics CRM Counts Users – Adapter v5.5.4 And Higher
The Adapter for Dynamics CRM uses the Microsoft Dynamics CRM SDK to count users. The SDK differentiates the following types of users:
The Adapter for Dynamics CRM counts only the Full and SupportUser type users, who have read/write access. Essential users have only limited access and are not counted. For example, if you are licensed for 10 users and you have 5 Essential users, you can have up to a total of 15 users logged on: 10 users with read/write access and 5 Essential users.
In addition, Dynamics CRM offers licensing options that include device licenses and external connector licenses. These licenses are not included in the Scribe User Count.
How The Adapter For Dynamics AX Counts Users
The Adapter for Dynamics AX counts the number of concurrent user licenses allotted by the Microsoft Dynamics AX license purchased. If more users need to use the Adapter, or more users are using AX than are allowed by your Scribe Insight license, you must purchase additional connections or upgrade your TIBCO Scribe Insight license.
How The Adapter For Dynamics GP Counts Users
The Dynamics GP Adapter gets its user count from Microsoft Dynamics GP. For the Adapter to read the number of users from Dynamics GP, the Dynamics GP client must be installed on the TIBCO Scribe® Insight server. Installing the client on the TIBCO Scribe® Insight server gives the Adapter access to the GPReg.dll file, which allows the Adapter to read the user count.
How The Adapter For Salesforce Counts Users
The Adapter for Salesforce counts named users that are active. It does not count portal or support users.
How The Adapter For SalesLogix Counts Users
NOTE: The Adapter for SalesLogix does not count users with TIBCO Scribe® Insight v 7.7.2 and later.
Resolving User Count Issues
Review the options below to resolve user count issues.
Once you have implemented one of the resolution options, you may need to unregister and reregister your Workbench. Try to run a job and then view the User Counts again to see if counts are now accurate.
If you still need further assistance with this issue please contact TIBCO Support .
NOTE: Microsoft recently made changes to their online environments which results in more CRM users showing up in the environment due to including a Common Data Service (CDS) license embedded within other O365 licenses. If your company has multiple CDS environments, you can use security groups to control which licensed users can be a member of a particular environment. Microsoft has a means of excluding these users using O365 security groups to control which users actually show up in the Dynamics 365 online environment and is described in this article.
