1. If the error is seen on the Statistica licensing server, check for the presence of the "stat.lic" file in the Statistica licensing folder. If left to defaults during the installation, this will be : "C:\Program Files (x86)\Statistica\FLEXlm" . If the file is not found in :C:\Program Files (x86)\Statistica\FLEXlm\ contact
TIBCO Support with the Statistica serial number. If this file is found or if error is seen from the statistica workstation, proceed to the next step .
2. Check for the presence of the "stat.lic" file in the Statistica Installation Folder (left to defaults, this would be :C:\Program Files\Statistica\Statistica [Version]) .If the file is not found, open ClientSTAT.tmp in the Statistica licensing server location (C:\Program Files (x86)\Statistica\FLEXlm) and save the file as stat.lic in C:\Program Files\Statistica\Statistica [Version]\ folder.
NOTE: It is very important that you do not replace the Stat.lic in the same directory or to copy the stat.lic from the FlexLM folder to the installation directory.
If this file is found in the directory already, proceed to the next step.
3. Open Regedit and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\STATSOFT\Licensing\. If this is a server install, you will see two keys named ServerPath and LicensePath as shown below. If this is workstation install you should only see one key named LicensePath.
4. Ensure that the directories that the above noted registry keys are pointing to are the same as the directory path verified in Steps 1 and 2. LicensePath should correspond to path noted in Step 2.
ServerPath (if on the server) should correspond to the path noted in Step 1
NOTE: If you see the ServerPath registry key on a workstation install , you may delete this key.
If the path does not correspond, edit the corresponding registry key to ensure they correspond. If the path already corresponds, ensure that the user seeing the error has Read and Execute permissions on the corresponding folders.
