Description
An individuals and moving range (X-MR) chart is a pair of control charts for processes with a subgroup size of one. It is used to determine if a process is stable and predictable, it creates a picture of how the system changes over time. The individual (X) chart displays individual measurements. The moving range (MR) chart shows variability between one data point and the next.
When plotting these charts TIBCO Statistica Workspace, we have two options: 1. X and MR Chart for Variables, SixGraph Summary (SVB) Node (with Histogram of observations and Moving Ranges) and 2. SPC Charts With Alarming Node (without Histogram of observations and Moving Ranges).
Environment
Windows 8.1, Windows 10, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows Server 2016
Resolution
Resolution 1 - X and MR Chart for variables with Histogram of observations and Moving Ranges
Import your data to TIBCO Statistica Workspace, use Select Variables and Predictors node and connected it to X and MR Chart for Variables, SixGraph Summary (SVB) Node. Running this sequence will generate X and MR Chart for selected variables with Histogram of observations and Moving Ranges.
Please note: Node parameters does not allow us to exclude Histogram of observations and Moving Ranges.
Resolution 2 - X and MR Chart for variables without Histogram of observations and Moving Ranges
Import your data to TIBCO Statistica Workspace, use Select Variables and Predictors node and connected it to SPC Charts With Alarming Node, edit the parameters of the node by making sure that "Display Histograms next to charts" is unchecked in the Chart 2 section:
Running this sequence will generate X and MR Chart for selected variables without Histogram of observations and Moving Ranges:
Please note: Once this option in checked, graph generation will include Histograms and we have the same output as in Resolution 1
